I have been out of town, so I don't have that much information concerning what happened on Saturday. But, I do know that there was a difference of about 14 seconds between the actual times and the chip timing. This is caused by the box that is timing the chips and the actual start times of the riders being off by 14 seconds. All ...

Actually, upgrade points do apply for any upgrade requests. They are weighted based on the field size and expereince. So, they can be used for upgrades to the extend that the upgrade official deems them relevant.

I appreciate you taking the time to get involved. I would like to respond to a few issues. First and most importantly, we are not requiring anyone to use any specific company. The promoters can time a race with any chip system from any provider they want. At the meeting where all of this was decided, all ...

We're working on it. We plan on hiring a professional to take care of our website. This would greatly reduce some of the problems we have.

I have looked into this and I am a big fan. Ichecked into this some and found that the main problem is cost. A good system will run around $2000-5000 and that we can handle. The problem is that every transponder will run around $80-100. There are systems that are passive, but I am not convinced that they work all that ...

I would also propose that we choose a few specific races to combine fields regardless of the numbers that sign up. I ...

Thanks,

Why the hate and discontent? I think what you guys are doing with RMR is great. Going with the USAC will not only help the UCA, but it saves money for you as well.
There is nothing wrong with this website, we just thought that we could spruce it up a little. It will be the front page for our publicity push for new ...

SoCal (SCNCA) uses a Canon Optura 20 digicam connected to an I-Book (about $1,100) with a firewire and running I-Movie. They said that the camera is available on ebay for $150.00. They record directly on the hard drive and use the forward and back arrows to advance or backup the video. It supposedly moves about 2 feet per ...

As I'm sitling here in COS at the USAC Local Associations meeting, I've been able to talk to Kurt from SW Idaho Cycling Association. (Rob suggested that I talk to him.) SWICA bought a camera for about $2000.00 that is fast enought to capture numbers as they cross the line. We could use UCA funds to purchase it and then ...
