'tis the season to bring new ideas to the table and voice your opinions. We have to do this in short order with the meeting only a month away. If you have any items you would like to be brought up for Public Comment, please send all your suggestions to your CLUB PRESIDENT. All submissions must come from your CLUB PRESIDENT. If it does not come from your CLUB PRESIDENT, it will not be posted for comment nor put on the agenda to be brought to a vote.

Did I mention it has to come from your CLUB PRESIDENT? Also, UCA Directors are the only ones authorized to create a forum on the issues. Once we get the proposals from the CLUB PRESIDENTS, we will create a Thread in the Forum for each proposal. Unauthorized Threads will be deleted and the creator will be taunted.

If you have any questions, please give a UCA Director a call.

Allen Butler Memorial Ride

The annual Allan Butler memorial ride is planned for the 11^th of October at 12:00pm from the lower parking lot of ‘This is the Place State Park’. Please come out and honor our fallen comrade.

End of the Season UCA Party-Sat. Oct 4th

The end of the cycling season is just around the corner. That means the End of the Season UCA Party is coming up. Come celebrate another great Utah Cycling Season with your family and fellow racers. This years event will take place on Saturday, Oct 4th at 6:30pm at the Jeremy Ranch Country Club in Park City. UCA Awards will be given out. This year's menu is a Mexican Buffet. There will be a cash bar available.

Directions: From SLC, take 1-80 East to the Jeremy Ranch exit (#141). Turn left off the exit. At the 4 way stop sign turn left (Rasmussen Rd). Turn right at the traffic circle (Jeremy Ranch Rd). The clubhouse is at the top of the first hill on the right hand side.

Dress is resort casual. Men please wear a collared shirt (golf shirt is ok). No jeans please.

Deadline to register is Monday, Sept. 29th.

Price is $27.00 per person (inclusive of tax and gratuity).

Don't miss this annual test against the toughest climb in the Wasatch; Snowbird Hillclimb! You can find details and information on course change due to construction along with registration here: http://www.snowbird.com/events/competitions/summer/hillclimb.html Do the hillclimb in the morning then hang around in the beautiful mountain setting and watch the best pros in the country duke it out for Tour of Utah honors. But please, no painting body parts on the roads.

We have two more weekends without UCA races, the next being Sanpete RR on August 23rd, but that doesn't mean there aren't events. Snowbird will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of its hillclimb on August 16th, on the same day as the Tour of Utah Pro men will tackle the same climb. Not only did Salt Lake resident pros Jeff Louder and Darren Lill go 2, 3 in the Pro mens race, Utahs own Norm Bryner won the Cat 2 event with Brad Gehrig taking a well deserved 4th overall. Other notables include Burke Swindlehurst 29th Pro men and Chuck Collins 10th 45+.

Registration Extended for hillclimb

Arrangements have been made to extend pre-registration for the Porcupine Hillclimb up Big Cottonwood Canyon to Wednesday evening at 9:00pm. They will be using timing chips this year and need the extra day to accomodate them. More info at www.porcupinecycling.com
